We are seeking a Sr. Manager of DataOps to join our client for a full time perm role based in the NYC area. This position will require some onsite (hybrid NYC).

The Sr. Manager, DataOps is an integral part of the Data Operations (DataOps) Team, responsible for ensuring the team's activities focus on analyzing and externalizing data internally and monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving the various company’s data pipelines and technologies.



  • You will gain in-depth knowledge of how data is collected, processed, and externalized to clients within our architecture.
  • You will manage projects and ensure we stay on target to accomplish the goal.
  • You will be working with data analysis tools such as Splunk to create reports and data visualization.
  • You will be thrilled at the prospect of building strong relationships with different teams in the company, solving operational issues, and implementing quality improvements.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities


  • 2+ years Management experience
  • Strong SQL querying skills
  • 4+ years SQL experience
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt, learn new skill sets, and be able to understand operational challenges
  • Linux experience
  • Knowledge of BI and Data Warehousing concepts (ETL, OLAP vs. OLTP, Slowly Changing Dimensions)
  • Process automation
  • Experience writing SQL and scripting languages python, bash, etc

Nice to have:

  • Cloud computing fundamentals, knowledge of Google Cloud services
  • Previous experience with gitops, CI/CD, GitLab, or other automation/delivery tool
