Our client, a leading digital product design company, is looking for a Branding & UI Designer to join them on a long-term freelance assignment. This role begins immediately on a remote basis, however candidates must be local to the NYC area. Candidates must have their own computer.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with a solid team including a Creative Director, UX Researcher, UX Lead and Developers to bring design visions to life
  • Understanding the client and target, develop multiple branding design directions including logo iterations, color palette, typography and extension directions
  • Implement approved branding design elements into digital product form to demonstrate application
  • Lead prototype creation, design system documentation and management, and other artifacts to support the successful, pixel-perfect implementation of designs
  • Be a knowledge resource for the team, keeping everyone up to date on the latest trends and technology, and acting as a sponge for new skills to teach yourself and others
  • Work with design directors to refine project briefs, processes, sprint schedules, and help guide the process of how you do your day-to-day work
  • Other tasks may apply

About you:

  • 5+ years designing digital products, for a variety of screens (mobile, desktop, kiosks, etc.)
  • Examples of digital branding, including logo/mark creation, original iconography and illustration development, and ownable uses of typography, photography, and color
  • Design system thinking and documentation, including digital style guides and asset libraries
  • Experience designing content heavy sites
  • Digital first - they work on product-focused digital websites and assets
  • User Interface Design with an understanding of UX best practices
  • Solid explanation or case studies of work
