Our client, a social media content company, is on the hunt for a News Associate Producer to join their team.

You will report to the News and be responsible for:

  • Produce and edit social media news content with a primary focus on breaking news at the direction of the Senior and Executive Producers
  • Be at the front lines of news on when it breaks to deliver content as quickly as possible
  • Responsible for reporting accurate information and alerting stakeholders to news when necessary, fact-check major news events
  • Write news copy for filters
  • Work with prorietary editing tool, AfterEffects for minor animation
  • Work with small team in a fast paced and frenetic environment


  • 1-3 years experience in journalism and news production
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Googe suite and AfterEffects is a plus
  • Proven experience as a collaborator who works well under breaking news pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to write and produce under tight deadlines
  • Experience working in digital media required
  • Background in TV production and/or newsroom is strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented person who works well under pressure and is great at multitasking
  • Someone who stays calm, cool, collected, and kind in stressful situations
