Job Description

Provides operations support to the facility by coordinating shipping documents and completing a variety of administrative related activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Facilitates inventory transfers to other facilities and facilitates inventory movements that are outside of normal shipping and receiving routines
  • Responsible for filing all documents and maintaining inventory filling system
  • Performs audits on the docks for both receiving and shipping departments
  • Responsible for auditing, validations, and post-auditing of all control documents.
  • Resolves issues pertaining to quarantined inventory
  • Interfaces with internal contacts and responsibile for order fulfillment
  • Ensures compliance to processes pertaining to order flow, customer routing guidelines, and shipping requirements
  • Investigates and reconciles issues pertaining to customer issues/ feedback and routing guides.
  • Review and approve KPI data
  • Generates and maintains purchase orders and related activity
  • Ability to attend work regularly and on a timely manner
  • Able to perform work with accuracy
  • Ability to operate a computer with Microsoft Office software and a learn a various programs
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by your manager or supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Able to collaborate with management, staff, customers, vendors, and corporate partners.
  • Strong writing skills. Able to write reports and correspondences.
  • Strong reading skills. Able to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, bills of lading, reports, inventory documents
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Strong oral communication skills. Able to speak effectively before staff, management customers, vendors, and other corporate partners
  • Able to analyses and interpret reports, graphs, and other data
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
