Job Description

The primary purpose of the job is to support client acquisition and retention efforts by drafting and producing original, competitive, and compelling responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) designated area(s) ((i.e. Government (Medicaid/Medicare) program Sectors, Commercial/Employer markets)). The Proposal Writer is responsible for project management and completion of all proposal and proposal related documents, i.e., planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating all elements of the proposal sales support activity.

The ideal candidate requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight timeframes. This job requires detail-oriented project management skills with excellent organizational skills and a focus on details and quality. The candidate should possess:

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Completing assigned RFPs in accordance with the deadlines.
  • The analysis of the RFP specifications, review and interpretation of key proposal requirements, non-standard items, and completing proposal documents with a focus on consistency and quality.
  • Creating internal timelines to ensure all quality checks and processes are complete.
  • Ensuring that competitive strategies are incorporated into persuasive, compelling, and customer-focused responses.
  • Accountable for effective communication and coordination with such staff as sales team, account management, finance, legal, subject matter experts (SMEs) and executive management.
  • Managing multiple projects under dictated timelines.
  • Contributing to the department goal of improved efficiency, effectiveness, and the capture of strategic customer opportunities through the use of reference resources that support proposal development activities, and by guiding and mentoring.
  • Contributing to and supports the management of RFP contractual performance and pricing standards.

Must Have:

  • Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills (technical and content) required
  • An understanding of the company and PBM market
  • The ability to exercise good judgment when escalating non-standard requests
  • The ability to make quick effective decisions and communicate seamlessly within the team

**Client will consider remote candidates but they must be able to travel to Philadelphia for 2 weeks training. Expenses will be paid and laptop will be provided.
