Java Software Developer

Large scale financial firm in orange county is seeking a Java Software Developer to join them for a long term contract engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Write asynchronous java code for our different applications/lambdas
• Carries out tasks and initiatives assigned by the manager and/or project lead
• Create API contracts that are documented and agreed upon by multiple stakeholders
• Uses a TDD approach when writing software

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands on programming experience with enterprise-level software development
• Understanding of the software and mobile development life cycle
• Familiar with software design patterns and problem solving
• Ability to execute process and standards around code quality and the deployment lifecycle
• Experience developing API services that are used by multiple systems in a cloud environment a plus
• An understanding of Spring Boot and Dependency Injection
• Has worked with AWS, and has an understanding of the services and functionality they offer
• Writing API services that focus on simplicity over being feature rich
• 5 years related work in Java language
• Understands REST principles, (verbs, stateless
• Comfortable collaborating and executing tasks in an Agile process
