Our client, a sports tech start up is looking for a Senior UI Designer for a direct hire role
This person will report to a the CTO.
As the Senior UI Designer, you’ll collaborate with a small, fast-growing team to design and launch our mobile and desktop OTT platform. You’ll work alongside product managers, UX designers, architects, engineers and customers to deliver our end user product
Your background should include a strong foundation in interaction design and visual/UI design. This position is primarily responsible for the visual and interaction design of our digital products. You’ll be building out the UI/style guide for our engineering team
To be considered for the role, you must have a solid portfolio and speak eloquently to each design decision that was made. You also should have been a leading part of a successful product lifecycle from ideation to launch of a feature/product and online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating this relevant experience
5+ years of extensive experience in a leading individual contributor role, on a Product Design team for desktop and mobile that has been released to market
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, HCI, Cog-Sci or equivalent degree
An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Typography, Interaction and Visual Design, and idea generation
Strong, clean visual design sense; Advocate for simple, modern design and adherence to design conventions and best practices (e.g., responsive, accessibility)
Expert understanding of each platforms human interface guidelines. This means you know the drop shadow size of material design, the top navigation bar of iOS and all the standard sizes of both web and responsive web without having to look them up
Mastery of industry design tool such as but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision, Flinto, UXPin, Zeplin, Avocode, Principle, etc.
Sports Production background huge plus - FOX, ESPN, etc.
