Onward Search is hiring an experienced Public Relations/Public Affairs senior professional ready for a new opportunity in Charlotte, NC!

The PR / Public Affairs is responsible for crafting and executing external communications to attract business, investors, industry leaders, and employees. Reporting to the Director of PR, this role is responsible for providing fresh external communication, leadership, strategy, and content for external media relations for a global brand.

Skills:

  • Conceptualize, develop, execute a variety of external communications that fulfills corporate brand objectives, ensure a positive impression and increase member engagement, brand visibility including press releases, and other PR media content.
  • Help drive the reputation and thought leadership program; includes paid media, earned media, digital production and promotion, social media, event marketing, and video production.
  • Support media relations goals. Pitch stories, write press releases, write speeches, prep for negative publicity.
  • Help maintain editorial calendars.
  • Gather, write, edit, share and publish external communications as needed.
  • Follow and enforce style guidelines and corporate standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Writing, Journalism or related.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the field preferred.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Strong verbal, written, and editing skills with strong ability to articulate concepts.
  • AP Style Writing
  • Knowledge of digital space, content management and editorial management systems and social media.
