Oversees the competitive bid and negotiation process with vendors and suppliers that create and produce printed communications for direct mail, collateral, and other printed media. Develops and approves print production priorities and schedules, print specifications, and budgets. Advises internal Harvard clients on tactics and options for printing and mailing projects that will produce best communication and marketing results.
The Print Production Project Manager manages relations with copywriters, proofreaders, graphic designers, printers, mail house vendors and internal clients. Communicates deadlines and ensures that project/production schedule is met and delivered within approved budgets. Responsible for reviewing, trafficking and signoff on proofs.
Experience successfully managing large, complex, high quality print communications project is necessary. Needs to be detail oriented and have excellent communication and project management skills. Must have strong fluency in common office, productivity, and project management software such as MS Office, Basecamp, Workfront, etc.
