Onward Search is hiring for a Print Traffic Manager! This is a contract to hire position in Vinings. Health benefits during the contract period.

The Traffic Manager will facilitate workflow on retail and channel graphics projects. Duties include managing internal traffic systems, creating schedules and tracking project progress, routing work for review and approval, archiving files and assets and opening and closing projects. This position partners and builds strong relationships with internal clients and team members. This position is regarded by the client as a trusted advisor and works closely with the designers, and account/project managers to set project milestones, create project timelines and track schedules to ensure all deliverable deadlines are met on time and on brand.


Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.

  • Responsible for job intake and document edits and ensuring quality, timeliness and overall client satisfaction
  • Determine job requirements, communicate priorities, adjusts production plans, and communicates with customers on day-to-day production as required
  • Review schedules. Defines staffing levels and resources required and communicates needs or exceptions to department management
  • Arranges intra-and inter-departmental help to maximize the utilization of department resources
  • Analyzes customer materials, documents, and files and resolves problems and or questions prior to production
  • Develops work assignments in conformance with established priorities
  • Monitors the production of all jobs, ensuring priorities are consistent with commitments and production decisions are cost effective actions to achieve results
  • Assists management in the identification of equipment, process and personnel barriers to achieve goals and targeted results
  • Responsible for the daily management of job input
  • Develops and maintains accurate records of all customer materials and files
  • Coordinates and arranges all departmental shipments, including special courier to (or from) customers and print locations. Maintains accurate copy receipt and transmittal records on all work in progress
  • Responds directly to customer queries anbd manufacturing areas as required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
  • Able to demonstrate ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job. Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately. Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity
  • Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments
  • Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand
  • Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers
  • Strong process management skills and commitment to continuously improving quality and timeliness of his/her own work and that of group and department
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
