Onward Search is on the hunt for a Product Designer to join the Ecommerce team of our start-up fashion client. You will report to the Director of Product Management and will be responsible for creating and communicating concepts, implementing strategies, and developing interactive design solutions.


  • Research and design seamless experiences that are focused on engaging customers
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to solve various business problems
  • Continually collect customer data & feedback and use it to optimize accordingly as well as explore opportunities to enhance, improve, and expand methodologies & work
  • Own communication and negotiation of critical path and scope with team members, working with stakeholders to ensure a unified understanding
  • Lead a project or group of projects with limited input
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of a comprehensive visual framework to establish consistent aesthetics
  • Deliver and maintain documentation for all user journeys and visual guidelines

  • Collaborate with the team to develop A/B tests to enhance experience
  • Provide product design insights through innovative research methodologies

Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Product/Visual/UI/UX Designer or similar
  • Prior experience in the ecommerce and/or shopping industry is required, experience in fashion is a plus
  • Must have a blend of both UI and UX skills
  • Deep knowledge of information architecture, usability, and UI/UX Design
  • Fluency in prototyping and wireframing
  • Proficient in Sketch and Zeplin, or similar
  • Familiarity with front end development
  • Portfolio that includes specific examples of work reflecting design thinking, process, teamwork, and customer impact
  • Strong set of core values regarding user experience, technology, and business communication, and the ability to articulately present them
  • Cultural awareness enabling effective communication with a diverse global audience
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence change through inspirational design, rationale, and supporting data
  • Experience working with technical teams to deliver designs
  • High attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and deliverables across different teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
