Our client, a leading social media technology company, is looking for a Product Designer to join their team. This role begins as soon as possible. Candidates must be local to NYC and be able to work on-site when it is deemed safe to do so by the company.

What you'll be doing:

  • Execute on design tasks and build assets for the design system
  • Leverage iconography, typography, color, space and texture to provide an inspiring experience to users across the client base
  • Lead research tactics like competitive analysis, persona creation and user journeys
  • Utilize user-centered design best-in-class principles to produce amazing visual from concept to execution across platforms
  • Develop wireframes and low fidelity prototypes
  • Participate and eventually drive usability testing, conduct moderated or un-moderated user testing, task rating, time to task, etc.
  • Collaborate with your customer success team to continually refine the platform's design language to create great-looking, innovative products for customers
  • Work among a broad design team which includes engineers, product managers and other designers in a fast-paced yet collaborative environment
  • Act as a client-facing member of the design team, presenting your ideas internally as well as to the client, clearly communicating intention in your work and are able to discuss with strategic rationale
  • Other tasks may apply

About you:

  • 3-5 years of Product Design experience
  • Exposure to B2B, SaaS Platforms, Dashboards and Data Visualization
  • Sketch and InVision expertise
  • Experience with research and insights though usability testing, personas, task rating, user testing, etc.
  • You come from a design background, bringing your knowledge of color theory, branding, iconography and typography
  • Ideally you have experience with card sorting or tree testing
  • Have worked in an Agile product environment understanding the full product life-cycle and how your work affects the overall process
  • Should have familiarity with front end like HTML or CSS but don't need to be able to write code
  • You can manage multiple work streams autonomously but can work as part of a broader design team including product managers, developers and designers
  • You have designed both consumer and internal facing products
  • You take pride in executing with and obsessive need for quality and creativity
  • Your resume and portfolio is formatted, clean and navigable
