Our client, an Entertainment Content Company, is seeking a Product Management Director of Marketing Technology to join their team.


  • Be the product lead for a cross-functional team for a cable network digital group responsible for driving consumer revenue through scalable marketing, consumer insights and targeting
  • Understanding audience acquisition and retention strategies, digital marketing best practices, advanced analytics and modeling concepts, and business requirements as it relates to these areas in order to define and execute on product requirements and a product roadmap
  • Collaborate closely with Stakeholders, Marketers, Strategists, Analysts, Product Managers and Technologists to lead the rapid development, implementation and adoption of new marketing tools and platforms
  • Work with the existing team and third-party vendors to stand up to new marketing capabilities, including Email, In-App and Push Messaging, Campaign Management, CRM implementation, Analytics, A/B/Multivariate testing and more
  • Charged with gathering business requirements from Marketing, defining product requirements and user stories, working with engineering teams to design solutions and implement the stories, and approving completed work as part of User Acceptance Testing
  • Own, maintain and communicate a clear product development and optimization roadmap in a way that's linked to business needs and ensures efficient and focused use of development resources
  • Manage a team of product managers to define product goals, KPIs, and requirements in an agile environment by understanding and prioritizing end-user and business stakeholder needs and consequently create user stories, wireframes and test cases to inform architecture, product development and QA
  • Manage the product backlog and roadmap as well as the priorities of engineering, internal partners, third-party vendors, design and marketing to deliver effective and timely solutions while balancing technical dependencies, resourcing and other constraints
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback. Prioritize bug fixes and new features that respond to customer needs and market opportunities. Iterate continuously on feature and functional enhancements
  • Use market and customer research, industry trends / best practices, and discovery with partners to conceptualize and develop new product ideas


  • 7-10 years of Product Management experience, in a fast paced, performance driven consumer business
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and a track record of delivering sophisticated marketing technology stacks across acquisition & retention marketing functions
  • Experience working with Email Service Providers such as Exact Target (aka Sales Force Email Studio)
  • Experience working with multi-channel Campaign Management / Marketing Automation providers such SAS
  • Experience working with A/B/MVT platforms such as Optimizely
  • Experience working with DMPs such as Krux
  • Experience working with analytics such as Adobe Analytics and Segment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Strong ability to solve problems and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in translating complex business needs into clear technically-oriented user stories and requirements
  • Ability to drive and influence business decisions based on data and metrics
  • A passion for TV and online video
  • A drive to create amazing consumer products and a proven track record of developing, launching, and managing successful digital marketing capabilities
  • Should have a growth hacker's mentality combined with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to bridge technical and business needs


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
