Onward Search is looking for a Product Manager with experience in durable goods to join our client in the Smyrna/Vinings area of Atlanta for an onsite direct hire opportunity!
PLEASE NOTE: While this position is located onsite in Atlanta, candidates from outside of that market who are willing to move to Atlanta are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available. Remote candidates will NOT be considered.
You will own and lead multiple categories of durable goods including household, garden, eyewear, and umbrellas.
You will oversee brand messaging, the application of market research, product concept and design, project timelines and deliverables, limited P&L, marketing channels, and all other strategic and operational elements of the product development process for your assigned product categories.
This is a hybrid role requiring both strategic leadership and operational management. Someone who is purely an operational project manager will not be the right fit.
You MUST have prior experience managing product development in the durable goods industry.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Graphic Design, or related field. Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
3-5 years of specific professional experience in product management in a corporate environment with a focus on the development of durable goods.
Prior experience working with large CPG brands preferred.
Must be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, energetic, and creative with a positive attitude and a willingness to get the job done.
Prior experience managing overseas vendor and manufacturing relationships is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a blended background in marketing, project management, product development, and category leadership.
Must be independent, mature, and capable of working with limited supervision.
Must stay current with design trends and have a strong understanding of the industry.
