Onward Search has an exciting Product Owner opportunity with one of our top National clients in their Willmington, DE office. This role will be responsible for transitioning the various stakeholders websites into a newer version, and managing their needs and expectations throughout the process.

This role is contract to start, with a chance to extend and/or convert to fulltime down the road. As you will be working with local team members, this role will be on-site for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a Product Backlog will be crucial to this role. There are a number of visions that need to be decomposed into Stories, which will in turn create the Product Backlog and will work with the team & stakeholders to create a Release & Spring Plan based on the Backlog.
  • Developing and updating the product roadmap. This may require the Product Owner to interface with other Product Owners to ensure roadmap alignment.
  • Collecting vision information from various stakeholders (both internal and external) and developing an overall solution vision.
  • Product Owner must be able to communicate the Stakeholders vision to the team (developers, designers, content team), as well as be able to push back on the Stakeholders when necessary
  • Establish communication protocols across stakeholder groups

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A strong blend of technical capability, problem solving, change agent and business savvy
  • Working knowledge using full Office Suite, JIRA, Confluence and other tools used across AGILE
  • Analytical Skills to assimilate information from a variety of sources, and develop a coherent strategy and product roadmap for meeting those needs.
  • Ensure that all facets of the project are delivered according to schedule with strong Project Management Skills
  • Interpersonal Leadership Skills to communicate cross functionally & achieve project goals and to manage the resources under the Product Owner for the duration of the project.
