Our client, a video game company, is seeking a Program Manager II to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Manager for Knowledge Management is responsible for the quality and effectiveness of knowledge management practices and tooling. You will define and communicate knowledge authoring standards in collaboration with our teams, ensuring content is written for ease of knowledge application across a global audience. You will work with Technical Writers, Instructional Designers, technical subject matter experts, and knowledge consumers enabling our knowledge management strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team that will define and communicate knowledge authoring standards including templatization, knowledge organization, variation of media, and use of knowledge management and learning transfer principles
- Define and improve knowledge management practices to support the developers within the studio
- Maintain currency of knowledge management industry trends and technology, providing consultancy and facilitating workshops to improve knowledge management practices.
- Monitor the performance of knowledge tooling, the effectiveness of knowledge standards, and user sentiment of knowledge management programs to define the knowledge management roadmap and opportunity spaces
- Provide oversight of a technical onboarding program called Tech University in which we provide training in the technical ecosystem of the studio
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, knowledge management, or organizational learning
- Excellent teamwork, team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with project tracking software (e.g. Google Sheets, Trello, or Jira)
- Experience driving documentation efforts for a large organization
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with business process modeling and notation
- Experience designing knowledge flows including decision tree modeling and user knowledge journeys
- Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)
- Experience working with the Notion platform
