Onward Search is looking for a Project Coordinator to work with one of our clients in the travel/hospitality industry located in Miami, FL! This person will have the opportunity to work with a "culture driven first" team for a known brand.
This role will help support various products and programs across their portfolio. You will be responsible for managing small size projects with increasing responsibility using various project management approaches and tools.
Leads small projects and possibly larger ones depending on experience and abilities
Manages the identification of operational changes required to meet project deliverables
Supports decisions made by the Program Managers and takes timely independent actions in pursuit of project priorities
Adheres to established project management processes and methodologies
Responsible for supporting the Program Managers with the development of project schedules and other related documentation
Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to obtain information that is required
Prepares standard project status reports for project delivery team or workgroup, client and management
Reports typically include: status update, budget, schedule, and risk
Enters project information data (i.e. project status updates, schedule updates, cash flow forecasts) and project documentation into project management technology tools (software applications, web-based tools, job cost accounting tools)
Coordinates and schedules meeting and communication plan(s) regarding projects among team and/or client
Assists in project close-out procedures for all projects Assists with project administration deliverables (i.e. meeting minutes; budget tracking; scheduling; closeout)
Bachelor's in Marketing, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or Business Administration or similar relevant work experience
3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar
Product Development, Project Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with process and industry methodologies for Project management, KPI development, Process Improvement, & Change Management
Knowledge of and ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, and Internet software.
BI Analytics & Data Visualization Experience is a plus (Tableau, Power BI)
Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office 365
PMP certification is PREFERRED
Change Mangement experience in a global organization is PREFERRED
Exposure to Python coding language or other data automation/wrangling tools is a PLUS
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment is essential.
