Our client, a CPG firm in the health and beauty industry is seeking a Promotions Coordinator to join their marketing team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for promotional and communication programs with consumers, trade customers and healthcare professionals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Handles all the executional aspects associated with the implementation of each brand’s promotional program (i.e., special packs, coupons, refunds, samples, brochures, premiums, professional efforts, direct mail programs, etc.) on a timely and accurate basis, using Adage and Cognos, as necessary.
Assists in package run outs associated with package redesigns, formula changes, etc.
Proactively seeks, evaluates and develops viable new promotion opportunities, directly leading efforts with vendors and/or other manufacturers’ brands through contract and execution stages.
Develops and oversees tracking of annual brand promotional spending details, including reconciliation of Finance and Marketing spending and budget data on a monthly basis.
Solicits and analyzes cost quotations on potential brand-specific sampling, direct mail, market research and new deal initiatives.
Manages the interface with coupon and refund distribution and redemption services and provides input to the Executive Assistant, Marketing for monthly refund redemption reports.
Leads and executes - as needed - all aspects of assigned brands’ social media and website efforts and serves as backup to Digital Media Associate.
For Sales Meetings, provides the development of sell sheets, develops and ensures development of data relevant to these tasks, and coordinates materials distribution.
Proof reads copy, trademarks, etc. on all packaging changes and promotional materials.
Compiles and analyzes data to evaluate research and promotion programs, as assigned for ad hoc summaries, business reviews, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A 4-year college degree in marketing; or, equivalent in training and experience is required.
1+ year experience within a marketing team
Strong skills in a Windows environment, including Word (intermediate), Excel (intermediate) (intermediate), and Powerpoint (intermediate).
Rapid attainment of capabilities with basic functions of Cognos, Adage, Nitro and ORC.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of internal & external customers.
