Our client, a leading tech company in the food space, is looking for a Proofreader to join their team on a part-time remote basis. This role will be ongoing. We are looking to get the right person started at the beginning of January.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be reviewing, proofreading, and leading quality control of 20-30 assets per week, driving consistency in language and visual identity across all.
  • Lend your proofreading expertise to the team at multiple stages throughout the creative process including initial idea conception through production.
  • Track and record edit to ensure no changes are missed.
  • Lead the correction of all grammatical faults, misspelled words and help with design errors.
  • Maintain the brand voice and ensure its consistency throughout all assets being developed.
  • Act as quality control to ensure that all images being used are consistent with the language that is on all assets.
  • Partner with the editors and designers to fix inconsistencies and ensure changes are made.
  • Other tasks may apply.

About you:

  • 5+ years of professional Proofreading experience.
  • Expertise in one or more Proofreading styles (e.g. Chicago or AP).
  • Experience and passion for the tech and food spaces are a huge plus.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with DocsFlow and InDesign is a bonus.
  • You are a multitasker who can handle last-minute changes with grace, and you can roll with it when projects get canceled at a moment's notice.
  • You are highly organized and have are hyper detail-oriented. Nothing gets by your keen eye!
  • Candidates must have their computer for this position.
