Onward Search is on the hunt for a Proofreader to join our Ad Agency client for a long-term contract opportunity that starts at the beginning of July.

You will be responsible for proofreading, light copy editing, and fact-checking content. You will be joining a specific client team which specializes in the production of books, detaining fund information and other financials.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Copy Editing
  • Proofreading - including statistical information
  • Oversee and provide quality assurance to make sure accuracy and quality of materials.
  • Ensures that materials are consistent with corporate and compliance standards; collaborates with compliance/legal especially as it relates to footnote language
  • Maintains a proofing style guide for the Institutional materials

We are seeking Proofreaders who meet the following requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years proof reading experience using AP or Chicago Manual of Style
  • Prefer candidates who have financial services experience
  • Must be able to meet deadline driven due dates and be flexible
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand both the high-level and detailed perspective
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and critical-thinking skills and accuracy
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills; strong grammar and syntax skills
  • Strong presentation skills; strong inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate feedback on issues related to various outputs to creative team members regarding technical requirements and writing formats
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are highly desirable
  • Experience working for companies in the Investment Management industry is a plus
