Onward Search is looking for a talented professional who will review marketing materials to ensure it meets the highest editorial standards, adheres to the corporate style and is consistent with corporate brand positioning. This Boston based role will sit in an in-house agency and work in collaboration with designers and other stakeholders to create flawless materials.


  • Proofreads written communication to ensure it adheres to corporate voice and brand positioning.
  • Proofreads copy for grammar, usage and to ensure that all content is migrated from original documents to new documents.
  • Communicates all edits and comments in a timely and effective manner to colleagues.
  • Copyedits written communications for usage and grammar.
  • Understands the demands of colleagues in different marketing functions – design, communication management, media relations, product information, and electronic communications – and finds innovative ways to support their needs.
  • Works hand in hand with designers to proof creative content.


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in English, journalism, or communications, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experienced as a copyeditor or proofreader in a high-volume communications department or advertising agency.
  • Highly developed editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of financial products, investment techniques and strategies, and FINRA and SEC regulations preferred but not required.
  • Ability to function with a considerable degree of independence.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage a high volume of projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Advanced understanding of English grammar and Associated Press style rule.
