Our client, a multicultural agency, is seeking a results-driven and self-motivated Publicist to work daily with clients. Media outlets, and internal teams to execute media relations strategy, new business outreach, and corporate communications.

The Publicist MUST HAVE at least 3 years' of multicultural target demographic campaign experience, and be knowledgeable about trends in the lifestyle, social publicity, and digital space. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be a leader and mentor others.


  • Build and maintain positive and engaging relationships with media (print, broadcast, online, blogs, consumer, mainstream, urban, tech and trade press).
  • Work directly with clients and executive staff, as well as lead weekly client conference calls.
  • Work closely with the social media and marketing teams to develop and execute a campaign strategy.
  • Excellent writer. Responsible for writing press releases and pitches.
  • Secure media results for clients on a daily basis.
  • Understand, execute, and lead social publicity tactics on behalf of clients.
  • Identify social and media influencers to use on behalf of clients.
  • Work with VP and executive staff on identifying new business opportunities for the Agency.
  • Secure media and conference/speaking opportunities for the Agency as part of Corporate Communications initiative.
  • Assists with the management of PR Coordinators and Interns.


  • MUST HAVE 3+ years' experience at an agency or an in-house PR department with direct client interaction, executing multicultural target demographic campaigns.
  • Knowledge and passion for current lifestyle and cultural trends that are relevant to today’s multi-cultural millennial consumer and industry tastemakers & trendsetters.
  • Ability to easily multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Extensive knowledge of current trends, lifestyle brands, digital and industry influencers to incorporate into media strategies.
  • Social media savvy with an understanding of emerging platforms and technology.
  • A diverse roster of previous PR client work, ranging from lifestyle to consumer, and corporate communications.
  • Proven skills in writing, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of the PR field (media relations, press campaign development, and execution of creative and strategic communication plans).
  • Existing relationships with media, including both traditional and non-traditional outlets, niche blogs and influencers.
  • Must understand digital and new media platforms and how to translate knowledge into creating transmedia campaigns for all clients.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
