Our client, an entertainment media company, is on the hunt for a Automation QA Lead to join their team.
You will report to the Sr Director of Product & Operations and be responsible for:

  • Work on the Operations team handles all quality assurance for consumer facing web applications, the proprietary CMS, and other internal systems.
  • In charge of evaluating, building, executing, and scaling the automation testing framework and tools across our owned and operated platforms 85% of the time
  • Interact with product management, project management, and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
  • Evaluate, select, and implement a scalable BDD testing framework for our digital platforms
  • Design and create test conditions, test data, and test scripts to address business and technical use cases
  • Design, execute, and analyze automation test scripts & test results for web applications, internal applications, iOS and Android native apps
  • Troubleshoot and triage issues on web platforms using browser development tools and Charles Proxy
  • Assist in converting existing manual test cases into automated test scripts
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA
  • Mentor and leading QA staff and stakeholders on testing processes
  • Provide reporting and testing progress on the project
  • Assist in other manual testing duties about 15% of the time


  • 3+ years of experience in an automation testing role, ideally 5-8 years of experience total
  • 2+ years leading projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience with writing tests scripts for Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience implementing BDD test frameworks such as Cucumber
  • Understand the differences between secure and non-secure protocols (HTTP vs. HTTPS)
  • Understand how to use browser development tools and debug web pages
  • Experience with troubleshooting display ads and pre-roll
  • Understanding of HTML5, CSS3 markup for modern web development
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments
