Onward Play needs a full-time, direct hire Lead Mobile Security Engineer for a hot game studio client working with one of the largest IPs going into 2023!

You’ll join the Security team to provide expert analysis and robustly engineered solutions to help strengthen our titles against threats. .

As a Lead Mobile Security Engineer you’ll:

  • Strengthen security and integrity of mobile game features, ensuring known exploits are mitigated and potential threats are addressed.

  • Work closely within the security team to identify the best course of action to proactively protect game features and implement countermeasures.

  • Identify emerging threats, build remedial plans, and implement countermeasures in a timely manner; monitoring and measuring effectiveness of those efforts.

  • Be a priority resource, working side-by-side with game engineers.

  • Perform R&D into both new mobile security techniques and technologies, building a toolbox of robust capabilities.

  • Support both engineering and security operations efforts.

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Familiarity with reverse engineering and advanced debugging.

  • Ability to identify code vulnerabilities and exploits.

  • Familiarity with malware detection methods.

  • Familiarity with mobile app stores and mobile applications distribution processes.

  • Extensive knowledge of iOS and/or Android operating systems.

  • Strong Java and/or Objective C development skills on mobile titles.

  • Understanding of assembly code and lower-level iOS and/or Android operating systems.

  • Be able to interact with and work directly with game engineering teams.
