Senior Mobile Security Engineer

Onward Play needs a full-time, direct hire Sr. Mobile Security Engineer for a large AAA game studio client.

You’ll join the Security team to provide experienced analysis and robustly engineered solutions to help strengthen our titles against threats..

As a Sr. Mobile Security Engineer you’ll:

• Development and integration of proprietary security technologies and services for mobile devices
• Perform R&D into both new mobile security techniques and technologies, building a toolbox of robust capabilities
• Strengthen security and integrity of mobile game features, ensuring known exploits are mitigated and potential threats are addressed

• Identify emerging threats, build remedial plans, and implement countermeasures in a timely manner; monitoring and measuring effectiveness of those efforts
• Be a priority resource, working side-by-side with game engineers
• Support both engineering and security operations efforts

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Familiarity with reverse engineering and advanced debugging
• Ability to identify code vulnerabilities and exploits
• Familiarity with malware detection methods
• Familiarity with mobile app stores and mobile applications distribution processes

• Extensive knowledge of industry best practices for protecting mobile applications and writing secure code, including defensive programming methods, code obfuscation, jailbreaking, encryption, and detection techniques
• Extensive knowledge of iOS and/or Android operating systems
• Strong Java and/or Objective C development skills on mobile titles
• Understanding of assembly code and lower-level iOS and/or Android operating systems
• Be able to interact with and work directly with game engineering teams
