Onward Search needs a full-time, direct hire Retail Strategist for a shopper marketing agency.

You’ll join the Strategy team to support some of their most high-profile and complex projects, turning raw data into valuable insights and providing a clear, thoughtful plan forward.

As a Retail Strategist you’ll:

  • Assist the Client Service team in delivering internal briefing sessions to make sure teams understand the problem at hand.
  • Develop channel and category shopper opportunities for marketing at retail activation.
  • Focus on new business development.
  • Define shopper-centric approaches to project and provide direction on research interpretation, meaning and application.
  • Assist in the creation and running of shopper workshops with clients.
  • Other tasks may apply.

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in a strategy or planning role.
  • Strong understanding of shopper marketing, retailer dynamics and execution.
  • Understanding of marketing disciplines, channel and category theory, qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Enjoys gaining key insights from large pieces of research and turning that into an actionable plan.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint; InDesign is a plus.
  • Genuine love for the retail industry; both online and in-store.
