As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Coaching and managing a team of writers throughout the entire content creation process, including research, reporting, writing, and continuous improvement.
- Enhancing storytelling by editing story structure, refining introductions to engage readers, and providing constructive feedback to the team.
- Rewriting content when necessary to ensure clarity and cohesiveness, while maintaining brand alignment in terms of tone, style, and content flow.
- Ensuring video scripts align with visual elements for a seamless viewer experience.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 7-10 years of professional editing experience, demonstrating a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling stories.
- 3-5 years of experience as a collaborative and problem-solving people manager, with a track record of fostering team growth and success.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.
- Strong multitasking skills, ensuring the team stays on task and assignments are tracked through all stages of production.
