Exciting opportunity to join a well-known, eCommerce brand and wordsmith omni-channel programs and campaigns across print and digital formats. As a Senior Copywriter, you'll have the opportunity to create copy that will be read and acted on by hundreds of millions of shoppers every week.


  • Create original omni-channel copy & concepts that engage, excite and drive brand affinity, customer acquisition and retention, and sales
  • Team up with some of the Bay Area’s best Graphic Designers to conceptualize engaging seasonal campaigns like Christmas promotions, back-to-college events, etc.
  • Write compelling headlines and content for departments and categories that you will “own” – making you a subject specialist in your own unique area of our site
  • Have a hand in how our client's brand voice evolves and is expressed across their site, even in User Experience language that guides customers through their shopping experience
  • Work on every type of marketing vehicle, from opt-in emails to push notifications to Facebook ads to affiliate banners, making certain the brand voice comes through wherever possible


  • Diverse portfolio that showcases:
    • National brands including major retailers
    • Sharp, highly creative talent and snappy, fresh, high-impact wordsmithing
    • Omnichannel range of media and formats including print ads, television, radio, digital ad banners, emails, branding, taglines, and program/product naming
  • 5+ years of agency or in-house experience minimum. Preference given to more seasoned candidates with experience across several to multiple major brands/clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital since you'll be interacting with high-level leadership and cross-functional teams including design, merchandising and marketing
  • You'll need to explain, sell and defend your ideas, while remaining open to feedback and constructive criticism


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
