Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Copywriter with a global leader in robotic process automation company. The ideal candidate will build relationships with people on multiple teams (business, engineering, marketing), is not afraid to ask questions, and takes initiative to track down answers. S/he has a knack for explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences. S/he explores new and better ways to communicate effectively – through writing, video, training classes, and more.

This is an on-going contract opportunity that kicks-off ASAP! Hours will vary depending on business needs.


  • Write and maintain easy-to-understand documentation, user guides, and implementation guides that follows the company’s standards for style, quality, and tone for a variety of audiences, internal, and external
  • Improve knowledge delivery systems and processes to meet audience needs while minimizing rework and maintenance
  • Work with various teams to understand new features in development and identify related documentation requirements
  • Work with business consultants to document implementations for customers


  • 5-7 years’ experience working as a technical writer, copywriter, or similar at an agency, start-up, or in-house (preferably working in software, B2B)
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical and business concepts and explain them clearly and concisely in a story like form
  • Experience working with software engineering teams or consultant implementation teams
  • Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and publishing tools
  • Excellent written English, impeccable grammar, and ability to consistently follow a style guide


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
