Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Software QA Engineer with our client, a renowned computer and mobile accessories company. As a Software QA Engineer you will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system. You’ll need to move fast, speak-up, decide and your own, drive change, and exceed customer needs.

This is an on-site, 6+ month opportunity that kicks-off ASAP!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test strategy based on the software requirements in agile development environment
  • Write test plan and test cases based on the software functional spec/Marketing requirements
  • Execute the test cases
  • Work closely with cross functional software, firmware and Marketing teams

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 2 years hands on experience in software qualification
  • Strong understanding of software quality testing and product release.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering process and development lifecycle
  • Extensive experience in testing USB/wireless device software/apps on Windows and Mac
  • Experience in testing software APIs/SDKs
  • Experience in testing cloud apps
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in writing, updating and modifying test scripts/tools
  • Experience in working in agile and waterfall environment
  • Good knowledge of USB, Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE protocols
