Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Biddable Strategist at a top SF based advertising agency. As a Biddable Strategist, you will plan, implement, manage, and report on campaigns for our clients across all biddable channels. The Biddable Strategist must have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, deliver effective and accurate results, show diplomacy and flexibility under pressure and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels of a business.

This is a contract to hire opportunity that kicks-off ASAP!


  • Plan, manage, and execute campaigns, including strategy development, account set up, organization, analytics and performance management
  • Manage day-to-day biddable media marketing activities across multiple channels (SEM, Social), including the campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review and optimizations
  • Own execution of deliverables for clients
  • Manage communication with clients including best practices, presentation decks, reporting and plans
  • Monitor industry trends, best practices, and techniques to ensure growth and identify new opportunities
  • Proactively research campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions
  • Develop and manage optimization strategies and programs
  • On an ongoing basis, maintain clear and concise written documentation of campaign optimizations and significant account events
  • Work with other team members including media, account, creative and analytics on planning, strategy, best practices and how biddable media can drive performance and success for clients
  • Manage campaign analytics for optimization and client facing reports


  • 2-4 years of paid search/social experience preferable at an agency
  • Completion of Google Fundamentals, Google Advanced, DoubleClick and Bing certifications
  • Demonstrate ability to build basic campaign structures on both Search engines
  • Demonstrate ability to pull reports and provide insights and observations on campaign performance at a high level
  • Have a solid understanding SEM and primary social channels
  • Accurately track and maintain budgets across campaigns and on multiple biddable platforms
  • Provide traffic and cost estimates
  • Demonstrate ability to create campaigns that are mapped through to conversion focused landing pages that are highly relevant and built at scale
  • Ability to master and use a 3rd party bid management platform. (DoubleClick, Kenshoo, etc.)
  • Provide in-depth optimization suggestions based on account performance.
  • Perform Search ad copy testing
  • Perform testing against various Search ad extensions
  • In-depth knowledge of AdWords and BING features and how they can be effectively integrated into campaigns
  • Participate in client calls and presentations
  • Ability to download data into Excel, perform VLookups, create Pivot Tables and charts


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
