Our client, a consumer electronics company located in SF is looking to hire a freelance Web Analytics Manager for a 3+ month assignment starting immediately. This person will be part of a new team building out a world-class data science and analytics function. You will partner with the digital, integrated marketing team and business groups to refine and optimize the user experience. This person should have experience measuring and setting KPI/benchmarks, customer journey mapping and imparting insights that enable them to drive efficiency of spend and optimize creative. A passion and deep understanding of interactive marketing channels including; search, online media, website development and attribution will be key to their success.

Responsibilities, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Highly proficient in online marketing and web analytics tools (e.g., GA 360, Ominture), site optimization tools, CX platform analytics tools (e.g., Foresee, Opinionlab, UserTesting, Hotjar).
  • A proven understanding of web analytics best practices (e.g., KPI, benchmarks).
  • Expert knowledge of Google Tag Manager (generating tags, implementing tags, tag tracking).
  • Expertise in e-commerce web analytics, including e-com backend (e.g., Shopify), to understand and optimize consumer path to and through purchase funnel.
  • Ability to connect web/e-commerce data to performance data from all of digital campaigns elements to piece together a more holistic story about consumer journey.
  • Proven experience using social listening tools (e.g., Netbase, Sprinklr, Radian6) as well as reporting analytics across different media channels and media types (e.g., Display, Search, Social, programmatic).
  • Strong Excel and database management (e.g., SAS, SQL, SPSS) analytics tools experience.
  • 5-7 years of overall web analytics at large agency and/or client-side at a large company.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in marketing, statistics and/or business.
  • Hands-on experience using data/analytics dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Beckon, Origami Logic).
  • Analytical and data driven mind-set.
