Onward Search is partnering with a growing insurance warranty company in San Francisco to identify a UI Designer to join their Product team! This person will partner with the UX Designer on redesigning various consumer-facing portals and mobile + web applications. They will also be updating platforms and applications with a new brand style guideline that was created from the Marketing Creative team. This person will be responsible for taking the new brand style and applying it with good judgement across all new apps. This person should be able to hit the ground running in designing new features in both mobile apps and responsive web.

In tandem, they have many apps – consumer and agent-facing – that need design maintenance. This UI designer will support the developers by designing new features within the existing apps today.


  • Work closely with UX designer to redesign Claims and Plan Portal.
  • Take brand style guidelines and apply to new apps.
  • Work with Creative Director to create new UI components to add to the library.
  • Help UX designer support 5 scrum development teams with wireframes for features that are both consumer and agent facing, on both mobile and web platforms.


  • Has a great for aesthetics and visual taste.
  • Excellent at Sketch and loves pixel pushing.
  • Able to apply and build out the new design style guide - many components may not be created yet, and it’s up to this individual to be able to build components that fit into this library.
  • Experience designing both for web apps and native mobile apps (iOS and Android).
  • Available online during PST working hours: 9-6pm. Can be remote.
