The opportunity is for a position as a freelance UX Researcher that will have an immediate start onsite in San Francisco, California. Our client is looking for a UX Researcher with strong communication and data analysis skills as well as impeccable knowledge of research. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with other product managers, content strategists, researchers, designers, engineers, and architects on a goal to transform complex issues into easy-to-use products.
  • Additionally, work with c-level executives, stakeholders, product managers and designers to pinpoint research opportunities on user-facing products.
  • Help teams understand customer needs, attitudes, and behaviors through actionable and thoughtful research.
  • Make the experience easier and more delightful for customers.
  • Provide feedback on findings as well as recommendations on how to address research goals and questions.
  • Find appropriate research methods based on time/budget and resourcing constraints.
  • Seek out feedback from Design leaders and managers.
  • Plan and conduct user research across various products and teams (recruiting and scheduling user testing sessions etc.).
  • Serve as a research advocate on the team, ensuring needs are met.
  • Perform independent, impactful research that translates into actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Psychology, or another related field.
  • Must have 6 years of UX Research experience.
  • Strong knowledge of summative and formative usability research methods and their application in a growing organization.
  • Previous experience with heuristic evaluations, field studies, competitive testing, and participatory design.
  • Experience working across various products and teams.
  • Able to define success metrics and benchmarking for various projects.
  • Ability of providing various research approaches to resolve complex design or business issues.
  • Provides recommendations with excitement and passion.
  • Not afraid to ask questions and welcomes feedback.
  • Capable of working without close supervision.
