We are looking for a talented Android engineer who is excited for IOT, tech gadgets and UX.

The Role:

  • Serve as a Technical Manager of an Android team that consists of both Full-Time employees and contractors
  • Perform project tasks independently, and direct the efforts of others
  • Perform technical design and implementation of complex Android applications
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
  • Contribute to new business features and requirements
  • Review Feature requirements, wireframes, and designs for technical feasibility, then work with the User Interface team to translate these into user stories that can be implemented
  • Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with QA to implement automation testing where appropriate
  • Contribute to the collective expertise by researching emerging mobile technologies and sharing that knowledge with colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with other teams and management

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with key technologies for the Android platform
  • Fluency in Java
  • Knowledge of Kotlin, RxJava and Dagger
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns
  • Experience designing robust, extensible and customizable mobile application code
  • Experience consuming and/or designing APIs
  • Strong UI development skills (complex custom views)
