Our client, a very well-known nonprofit organization, is looking for a Senior Art Director or rising Associate Creative Director with a solid branding background to join their expanding team for a permanent position in New York City. This role will begin immediately following the interview process.


  • Responsible for the ownership and creative direction of the company's visual identity.
  • Oversee your design support and freelancers as needed.
  • Develop strong concepts and designs that drive the brand forward and push the brand's high-impact disruptive nature.
  • Lead and direct all creative across partnerships and our brand across 360 experiences (e.g., social, digital, print, video, OOH, packaging, etc.)
  • You are the lead brand custodian, providing stewardship for brand guidelines, partner assets, and training your team on best practices and updates.
  • Propose new collaborations that support and elevate our brand to tell our story.
  • Manage outside resources including freelancers, agency partners, consultants, and creative partnership collaborators.
  • Lead the creative team in its charge to the concept and develop new big ideas which push the brand forward including partnership pitches, campaigns, branding, and websites.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to your team, as well as, external creative partners.
  • Ensure that your work stands our to help drive company growth and engagement in line with marketing objectives.
  • Leverage the market data of our work, taking into account performance to improve future work.
  • Manage the creative budget as needed.
  • Other tasks may apply.


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant design study.
  • 6-8 years of 360 design experience in-house or agency.
  • Must have a passion for design, compelling stories, strategic thinking, creativity and a roll up your sleeves approach.
  • Ability to articulate your ideas and present them convincingly to internal and external groups. You can also take constructive feedback positively.
  • Expertise with Adobe CS and working knowledge of relevant CMS platforms.
  • Have to lead multiple 360 creative campaigns as well as working with outside partners to develop them.
  • You are a great storyteller when it comes to selling your work.
  • You have a portfolio of current, clean, thoughtful design work.
  • You can manage your and your team's time effectively on concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
  • Digital expertise: understanding and working knowledge of front-end tech, agile dev. Methodology, user-centered design, and emerging tech.
  • You are well-versed in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Mac products.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
