Our agency client, is seeking a Senior Art Director to join the team.

This person will report to the VP/Creative Director and be responsible for:

  • Holding a leadership role among our Creative team managing 4 designers, in addition to managing your own projects.
  • Lead the charge in the development of engaging social media marketing concepts and approaches, oversee multiple projects from conception thru execution for film and tv clients 60% of the time.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Creative Department being instrumental in translating a brand’s identity to the digital and social media space.
  • Creating on-brand, compelling creative campaigns.
  • Provide mentoring, training, and best practice recommendations.
  • Direct all phases of creative work for major brands from concept through production.
  • Serve as creative lead and help Art Directors manage teams on small and large projects.
  • Work collaboratively and lead cross-discipline teams of various levels of seniority.
  • Serve as point of escalation both internally and with clients.
  • Direct external partners and production teams.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years experience in marketing, advertising or social media with at least 1 year managing a team.
  • Thorough understanding of features, behaviors, best practices, and analytics offerings across popular social networking platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snap.
  • Killer design chops with proficiency in AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Ability to understand, communicate and execute against content and engagement strategies.
  • Enthusiasm and knack for nurturing client relationships and growing repeat business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to a variety of situations and subjects including technical information and creative ideas.
  • Ability to think strategically, conceptualize creatively, and execute flawlessly.
  • Strong communication design sensibilities and an understanding of how motion, composition, information hierarchy, color theory, and typography work together to drive home a message.
  • Social fluency and a solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across existing and emerging social platforms.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including a team building approach and a problem solving and client-focused attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with clients and individuals from other departments.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, hustle, hunger and an amazingly curious attitude that is consistently seeking out creative opportunities above and beyond the day-to-day asks.
  • The ideal candidate will also feel comfortable interfacing with and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders in a way that makes big ideas deliciously digestible.
