Onward Search is looking for a Sr. Designer to join our prominent agency client in Charlotte for an onsite contract-to-hire opportunity!

Job Summary:

  • You will be responsible for concepting and designing for the creative team across both traditional and digital platforms
  • You will develop innovative creative solutions and materials based on approved camp campaign creative direction and produce materials for creative and client presentations
  • You will contribute creative input to other agency processes, such as ideation sessions and business development efforts

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an agency expert in design
  • Deliver high-quality work on time and on budget
  • Evangelize for the creative team agency-wide
  • Collaborate among multiple departments effectively and efficiently, developing strong relationships across the agency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BFA in visual/graphic design or formal design training
  • 6+ years of design experience working as an Art Director or Designer in an agency or creative environment
  • Comfortable with both hands-on design and concepting/ideation
  • Interior design experience a plus
  • Experience developing successful concepts and implementing them through design solutions, many of which have been adopted by clients
  • Ability to skillfully manage a high volume of work in a deadline driven environment
  • Passion for making it easier for people to understand complex ideas
  • Expertise in the tools required to do your work including Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, and similar tools
  • Strong portfolio of proven, innovative, modern design work REQUIRED and should be submitted at time of application


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
