National Health Client is seeking a DevOps Engineer extensively experience in Azure to join them on a long term contract engagement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise with cloud migration - within Azure
  • Strong communication skills
  • Need to be able to pitch / sell the move and articulate cost savings
  • Discover phase will start in November and the migration will kick off Jan 2021 - will need to map out and execute

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain a scalable, stable set of build, test, and deploy jobs
  • Own, extend, and maintain Azure based infrastructure
  • Extend the build system for new applications as needed
  • Take ownership of core automation tools such as GitHub and CircleCI
  • Ensure the infrastructure is secure, recoverable (disaster, data) and maintained (security patches, tool upgrades, etc) and automated
  • Ensure the infrastructure is structured in a cost-effective manner
  • Approaches infrastructure architecture from a design driven standpoint with security, reliability and scalability as its core
  • Ability to develop in either Python or Bash. Experience in a commercial development language is required, ideally working on distributed systems
  • First-hand experience with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS, Terraform
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog or New Relic
  • Experience with source control systems such as git
  • Worked with SQL and MySQL Databases and big data platforms
  • Detailed understanding of the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment tooling such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline Suite and etc
