Onward Search is looking for a Sr. Digital Social Media Strategist with our agency client in Charlotte. NC.

The lead social strategist will plan, manage and execute social media governance and programming for our international client. An experienced professional who drives business results through social listening platforms, and in building communities and in engaging online audiences.

He or she understands social networks and can create social programs that target and maximize the reach of brands or specific communications campaigns. This individual will work with other communicators to incorporate social strategies as part of larger integrated programs that include traditional media relations, public relations, websites, and other digital activations, advertising, and mobile technologies. The social lead can not only conceive and execute social strategies but also measure their impact and effectiveness.

Skills:

  • Fulfill the social media content and community management needs.
  • Ensuring all content is on brand and consistent in style, quality, and tone across all client social properties.
  • Creating and maintaining content calendars for client, encompassing major themes, day-to-day content, industry events, and other trending topics.
  • Writing and posting daily content for an array of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, and YouTube).
  • Using client voice to engage with the community across platforms.
  • Tracking weekly and monthly performance, including critical community feedback and analytics to make optimizations to content and strategy based on results.
  • Pushes all partners to enhance earned media optimization and measurement approaches.
  • Collaborating with other departments to create, execute and integrate social media campaigns to support client goals and objectives (e.g., paid media, creative, content, etc.).
  • Assisting with the development of comprehensive social media strategies for clients.
  • Work as a creative member of the content team to generate strategic ideas for clients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media trends, sharing new tactics and ideas with departments. Strong understanding of social media ecosystem and how insights, paid, earned and owned social media inform, involve and amplify one another
  • Able to explain and recommend digital marketing strategies and analytics.
  • Experience in participating in all phases of new business from ideation and program development through to presentation.
  • Superior client service skills, able to manage multiple clients and projects and advise them.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of five years experience in social strategy and/or digital strategy. Must be a Social Subject Matter Expert!
  • An experienced professional engaged in social networks, digital media, online forums, and blogging.
  • Knows how to integrate communications strategies across several channels specifically earned, shared and owned media.
  • Skilled in creating social initiatives that meet brand objectives along with increasing web traffic, boosting sales, producing a return on investment and/or demonstrating measurable consumer awareness.
  • Familiarity with leading social listening platforms and able to analyze, measure and report on engagement with social programs.
  • An avid subject matter expert who can educate clients and internal teams on social trends, tools, and programs.

Accountabilities:

  • Effectively manage all deliverables (e.g., on deadline, high-quality content).
  • Deeply appreciate the nuances of brand authenticity and voice
  • Understand paid search and social ads!
  • Work well in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, spanning multiple disciplines (e.g., creative, PR, digital strategy, media, and video/photo production).
