Senior Game Engine Programmer

Onward Play is searching for a Senior Game Engine Programmer to join one of our exciting game studios! You’ll be working directly with a core group of dedicated and experienced developers to establish a new studio and new project! In this exciting role you’ll be one of the core members of this new studio, contributing with your technological expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engine systems in UE5
• Extend existing complex UE5 engine systems
• Collaborate with other internal departments (art, design, QA, and production)
• Debug complex engine issues

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of professional AAA game engine programming experience on PC and/or consoles
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++
• Excellent 3d math skills
• Experience with game engine level systems including (but not limited to) rendering, animation, physics, audio, streaming, AI, and memory management
• Experience with performance optimization of AAA games (GPU, CPU, Memory)
• Experience integrating art pipelines into game engines
• Bachelor’s degree is software engineering/computer science or equivalent experience
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Pluses:

• Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5
• Experience working on MMOs, action RPGs and/or third person shooters
• Experience working on current gen console games
• A deep passion for games, and game development
