Our client in Detroit has an immediate need for a top-notch Senior Graphic Designer. This role is responsible for creating dynamic digital and print campaigns to build brand awareness and increase demand for the client’s brand in the market place. The role oversees a team who designs content for the website, digital properties, and printed materials. This is a key member of the Marketing team. In addition, this role is responsible for managing a Jr Graphic Designer.

Key Objective & Outcomes:

  • Adopt a strategic and holistic view of the creative landscape, keeping abreast of current industry best practices, tools, and trends
  • Play an integral role in the company’s creative process
  • Lead and motivate direct reports, providing vision, leadership, direction and guidance; able to dig into the details and work alongside the team
  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with leadership and other key contacts across many internal departments/functions to build partnerships
  • Oversee concept and content development, strategizing, planning, implementation, and coordinating of brand and digital initiatives
  • Continue to drive a multi-channel focus, presenting a unified, consumer-centric view, consistent across the brick and mortar and digital spaces

Job Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Create designs to drive consumer engagement, enhance the customer experience across all channels, and increase customer loyalty
  • Develop content strategy/story development with the creative services team, public relations and marketing teams
  • Manage all design aspects of digital marketing, display ads, retargeting, social media and print marketing initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry news, technologies, and latest innovations within the industry
  • Prioritize urgent projects and manage work load of department accordingly
  • Oversee the timeline for creative launches, and troubleshoot any issues when needed
  • Assist in supervising graphic design, providing direction and guidance to ensure internal and external customer needs are met
  • Work with the creative team to interpret brand and art direction for the ideal customer

Ideal Experience:

  • 5+ years industry experience in digital marketing with a proven track record of success in ad agency or marketing firm environment
  • Experience with managing and working cross-functionally with other departments and third-party vendors/agencies
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strategic out-of-the-box thinking capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills to drive alignment on strategies and programs, as well as sharing insights to the broader organization
