Our client, an entertainment media company, is seeking an Sr Marketing Analyst to join the team in Hollywood.

You will report to the Sr Marketing Analyst Manager and be responsible for:

  • Work across the paid and owned channels to identify actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions.
  • Working collaboratively with marketing to query/pull data from multiple databases, research and implement innovative ways to look at data, perform a wide range of formal and ad hoc analyses, and present results across all channels – for email and push
  • Mine large sets of data from LNE data warehouse or source systems using SQL for analyses such as efficacy of marketing campaigns from any-touch vs last-touch attribution, cross-channel subscription and shopping behavior, incremental revenue and incremental Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) opportunity through new or improved marketing channels
  • Perform deep-dive customer & campaign analyses for its fans, including buying behavior, response to marketing campaigns, email marketing, display ad retargeting, mobile app messaging and any other channels.
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights - pulling together presentation ready decks with data-driven, effective recommendations to drive revenue, increase retention, reduce attrition, activate dormant customers, and improve existing programs.
  • Manage day to day reporting needs and trends, focusing on short and long term impacts to key KPIs
  • Compile, consolidate and validate data from multiple sources into digestible formats
  • Track and analyze data through exploratory data analyses to solve business questions and identify areas for optimization and automation
  • Build dynamic dashboards to track key KPIs, consumer/campaign insights, and empower channel leads to discover actionable insights
  • Summarize and present analytical findings to leadership to support strategic planning discussions
  • The goal of this role is to provide strategic reporting, analysis, and support optimization projects that drive revenue growth and improve product features.

Musts:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of business experience in online/digital companies handling and analyzing large data sets to successfully drive conclusions – specifically on email, push and mobile app and the analytics of tests and monitoring of performance of each channel
  • Prefer degree in quantitative field, such as Applied Math or Statistics, Behavior or Social Sciences, Operations Research, or Computer Science
  • Basic statistical skills a plus: significance, error, sample size, design of experiment, basic regression
  • Able to write and run SQL queries to pull data.
  • Prior experience with reporting tools such as Teradata, SQP, Domo and XLS preferred
  • Must have Google Analytics and MS Excel expertise – logical functions, lookups, pivot tables, external source data, dynamic charts and tables, editing and writing macros
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights and recommendations from analysis and present proposals to internal stakeholders.
