Onward Search is looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join our A-list client in Atlanta for an onsite contract-to-hire opportunity!

Job Scope:

  • This is a W2 contract-to-hire role expected to last for 3-6 months on contract before converting perm.
  • 40 hours/week are anticipated.
  • Benefits are available through the contract portion of the engagement.
  • All work must be completed onsite in Atlanta.

Position Summary:

  • You'll drive design from early-stage feature discovery through usability testing, final delivery, and launch.
  • You’ll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with product management, engineering, editorial, and research teams to create intuitive, feature-rich experiences for our audiences to enjoy on mobile and tablet devices.
  • Comfort with an agile, sprint-based workflow and a relentless focus on working with product teams to develop use-cases and high-level requirements is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize user-centered research, discovery and design methodologies to define and visualize mobile product-related hypotheses and recommendations
  • Facilitate workshops, elicit ideas, build shared understanding, and reinforce the development of use cases and high-level requirements
  • Create storyboards, userflows, and wireframes for mobile products to effectively conceptualize and thoroughly communicate detailed user behaviors
  • Conduct light usability research and synthesize feedback into iterative mobile design enhancements
  • Analyze mobile user interface problems and prototype design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
  • Work within and contribute to a component-based visual design system,delivering meticulous, high-fidelity mobile-first design deliverables to development teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience as a strategic, conceptual user-experience designer in an Agile-driven product environment with an emphasis on mobile solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and UX design solutions to real-world business cases with an emphasis on native mobile products
  • An understanding of relevant mobile platforms and the product development and delivery process for each
  • Knowledge/mastery of best-practices for device-based information architecture and design, including usability principles and testing techniques
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to breakdown complex problems and clearly communicate with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work pro-actively and efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Proficiency in a variety of digital product design/prototyping tools and frameworks, including Sketch, InVision, and Abstract.
