Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Senior Product Designer at a consumer-facing, children's eCommerce retailer. You must have consumer-facing product experience, the ability to create end-to-end experiences for consumers, and excellent research & discovery skills, from in-person UX interviews to prototyping, user testing, and sprints. The ideal candidate brings full-stack skills and is experienced driving both the Product’s UX and UI with a good balance of both emotion and transaction-driven design experiences. You should enjoy working autonomously and thrive in a culture with others who share an entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Skills:

  • Partner with Product Team to establish and evolve the digital design and interaction language for the company's website & application.
  • Report to the Head of Product Design.
  • Be a major force in Design Sprint sessions for eCommerce products.
  • With Product team, map out the user journey and establish areas of focus.
  • Drive the qualitative Discovery process, including in-person Product health checks, InVision (or similar) prototyping, user testing, and other user research methods.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Business leaders, and Marketing to evaluate and achieve product/market fit.
  • Partner with Engineering for prototyping, coding and visual QA.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience as a Sr. UX or Sr. Product Designer within consumer-facing products.
  • Experience with contributing to at least one major redesign.
  • Experience designing for transactional products and/or products that have long user journeys.
  • Experience using InVision (or similar) for creating testable prototypes.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with engineers and know how to partner in the sprint process.
