Our client, an award winning branding agency, is in search of an Integrated Senior Production Designer to join their team for a 3-4 week freelance project. This role begins on-site in New York City on April 24th.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with the functions of the agency (Design, Digital Production, Program Management and founders) on a variety of studio design needs including:
  • Fielding one-off design requests for presentation templates, client requests like collateral revisions, etc.
  • Resizing imagery for use in digital display advertising and social touchpoints.
  • Mocking up creative examples to support campaign pitching and development.
  • Designing layouts for print, digital, email, web and even trade show creative.
  • Owning production setup of integrated assets, setting up templates, building mechanicals, checking colors, etc.
  • Changing file types, filing, organization of materials, packaging up assets for delivery and execution, etc.
  • Creating InDesign templates (master pages, stylesheets, layout grids, etc.)
  • Creating PhotoShop mockups (superimposing flat designs onto a photo of a magazine spread, etc.)
  • Photo retouching as needed.
  • Other tasks may apply.

About you:

  • 5 years of experience in graphic and production design in an agency setting.
  • Strong eye for design, typography and color.
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and can create style guides, master pages and templates.
  • Ability to resize layouts, style copy, etc.
  • Experience building mechanicals across a range of integrated media including print, web, digital, and tradeshow assets.
  • Can creative press-ready PDF's, optimized PDF's, banners, web graphics, etc
  • Strong understanding of file formats, file resolution and color modes.
  • Good general ability to retouch photos.
  • Can work with vector art.
  • Knowledge of print production specifics (e.g. ink specs, paper sources and production techniques), can communicate with vendors, help source and review estimates.
  • Can prepare and package files for production.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to develop templates, recreate slides, create charts and tables, animation and more.
  • Bonus if you have experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Animate, HTML email coding (Mailchimp or Hubspot) and Wordpress administration.
