Technology Platform company in NYC is seeking a Senior Software Architect to join them as a Perm employee.

This position will be responsible for designing and building the architecture of our system from the ground up and supporting the CTO in building out the engineering team, and its culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead development of the key back-end data services, API layers, and front-end applications in the ecosystem
  • Evaluate candidates, grow the engineering team and establish a culture of excellence
  • Emphasize user experience while maintaining stability and scalability Contribute to and help shape the strategic technology vision for collaborative solutions
  • Collaborate across the org and maintain a high level of technical excellence across the board while balancing business needs
  • Help new team members grow as engineers through code review, pairing, and mentoring.


  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • Expert in building full-stack applications (systems configuration, data access layers, applications interfaces, and user-facing views, and data schemas)
  • Extensive experience with React.js, writing ES6 JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with a query language such as GraphQL
  • Experience with Node.js: advanced knowledge of the key libraries. Experience with building tools like Webpack Experience with an E-commerce platform like DemandWare or Magento
  • Extensive experience writing REST APIs Exceptional software development fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOD and systems architecture)
