Our client, a real estate VR company is searching for a Senior Technical Artist. We're looking for candidates with the following skillset and experience to fill the role. 

This Senior Technical Artist will be responsible for:

  • Engine-side environment, materials, basic lighting, and gameplay setup in Unreal 4/5.
  • Importing of geometry, materials, and lighting from 3DS Max into Unreal.
  • Coding of UX and experience interactions in Unreal.
  • Working with dedicated artists, designers, and programmers to support new features and systems.
  • Creating and the conversion of PBR materials for photorealistic rendering of architectural spaces.
  • Creating of MaxScript/Python scripts within 3DS Max to automate production processes.
  • The ideal Senior Technical Artist will have:
  • Desire to work within a friendly company culture of calm, rational debate and honest critical feedback at all levels of the StageGlass organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote team members using Slack, white-boarding, scheduling, screen recording, and video conferencing tools.
  • Demo Reel/Portfolio showing the game environment and/or architectural work.

Experience:

  • 6+ Years of Technical Art Experience.
  • 4+ Years of Unreal Engine experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of PBR workflows and Substance Designer.
  • Strong Knowledge of Modeling & Basic Rendering in 3DS Max.
  • Strong Knowledge of MaxScript for task automation.
  • It would be nice if the Senior Technical Artist also had but isn't required to have:
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5
  • Architectural visualization experience.
  • Experience with program-agnostic modeling workflows.
  • Experience with Houdini, or in using Houdini Digital Assets.
  • V-Ray Rendering Experience
  • Ability to use C++ to create custom command-line tools and Unreal blueprint nodes.
  • Creative/technical understanding of photography/cinematography and RAW image processing concepts.
