Onward Search is hiring for an SEO Project Manager for a digital marketing agency in Raleigh, N.C.!

Job Description: 

  • The primary focus of the SEO Project Manager is organizing and managing resources (both internal and our client's) in such a way that these resources deliver all the work required to complete our SEO campaigns (projects) within defined scope, time, and cost constraints.
  • In this role, communication skills and attention to detail is a must as the Project Manager acts as the intermediary between the clients, sales and technical staffs
  • The SEO Project Manager is the person who has the overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of search engine optimization campaigns. You will manage new and existing campaigns
  • Generate and provide KPI reports to management and clients
  • The Project Manager must possess a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve interpersonal conflicts as well as more systematic management skills. For example, the PM gathers information from the client, communicates the optimization strategy to the client, coordinates client consulting calls with SEO engineers, and makes sure that other deliverables are completed correctly and on time

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with SEO tools such as a Moz, Raven, Screaming Frog, Searchlight, SpyFu, etc.
  • Experience with WordPress and/or building websites, basic understanding of HTML coding and how websites work
  • Deeply understand all aspects of Google Analytics, and be willing to get GA certified (if you're not already)
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel (and its Google counterpart, Sheets)
  • A desire to work with data and be technical
  • The ability to turn analysis into a deliverable that a non-technical person can understand
  • Strong, clear writing skills
  • The capability to work well with a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills - if you don’t know something but a client needs it, you will do everything you can to quickly figure it out
  • Possesses strong business ethics, is reliable and dependable
  • Create and maintain project plans to track progress of campaign
  • Have high energy, and a confident manner
  • Understand and achieve client goals and objectives
  • Is attentive to detail, well organized and able to multi-task
  • Have excellent communication skills with both email and phone
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
