Onward Search is on the hunt for a Social Media Marketing Manager to join our corporate client for a full-time position.

This role encompasses all functions in the social marketing cycle. The role will be expected to bring new ideas and innovations to the table, but is also responsible for the tactical coordination and support required to execute our social marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the organic and paid social media strategy across all relevant platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, etc.) and utilize each in a unique way to capture target audiences
  • Collaborate with the editorial content manager to create consistent content
  • Work closely across the organization to ensure content is consistent with overall brand objectives, strategy and product roadmap
  • Present strategies and communicate the importance and effectiveness of ideas to key stakeholders
  • Create relevant, original, high-quality social posts and social media advertising campaigns for all platforms in collaboration with the advertising and content managers
  • Create clear social media goals across all platforms and consistently analyze and track results to keep marketing partners and senior management aware of progress
  • Deploy testing strategies to improve decision-making abilities
  • Advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Develop and manage an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the company
  • Develop and manage delivery of appropriate social media training/education programs for colleagues
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations on latest social media trends and best practices
  • Grow the brand on social media by creating both short- and long-term plans to achieve this goal

Qualifications

  • *Minimum 5 years of experience in organic and paid social media management for a large brand
  • *Minimum 2 years of blogging or other content marketing experience
  • *Minimum 5 years project or program management experience
  • *Bachelor's or higher degree in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising or journalism
  • In-depth experience and proven track record of success with portfolio
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of all major social media platforms and curiosity about emerging platforms
  • Strong knowledge of both the creative requirements and the effectiveness of social media marketing
  • Experience with engaging and growing a social audience on one or more platform
  • Eagerness to build a social brand presence from the ground up
  • Skill in photography/videography, photo/video editing, and photo/video shoot production, as well as copywriting and editing
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines
  • Organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong problem solver with a collaborative attitude
  • Knowledge of the financial industry preferred
